Monday, August 2, 2010
Kilongo Masimango, who serves as JESUS Film coordinator for the French Equatorial Field, coordinator of the Goma JESUS Film Team, and pastor of the Birere Church of the Nazarene in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo, has been missing since June 30.

Masimango left his brother's home in Bukavu to visit a church in Uvira and has not been heard from since. Family, friends, and church leaders have tried to locate him by visiting bus stations, hospitals, prisons, and other institutions, but have not had any success.

Prayer is requested for Masimango's safe return, as well as for his wife, Kamundoli Therese, and their three children: Mwetaminwa Jacques Masimango, who is married and has one child, Wilondja Jackson Masimango, and Mulondwa Nathan Destin. The family has been living with Masimango's mother. Prayer is also requested for the JESUS Film Ministry and fellow team members, and members of the Birere church.

UPDATE 7/2/2010: The Africa Region reports there has still been no word concerning Masimango's whereabouts. Continued prayer is requested.
