The National Flag of Canada, also known as the Maple Leaf, is a red flag with a white square in its centre, featuring a stylized 11-pointed red maple leaf. Its adoption in 1965 marked the first time a national flag had been officially adopted in Canada to replace the Union Flag.

GMC Flags of the Nations: Canada
Global Ministry Center
Monday, July 26, 2010
Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global
Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations
in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited
to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of
the United States*. The national flags rotate weekly, and photos of
them raised are sent to the church leaders of that country.
This week: Canada
The Church of the Nazarene officially entered Canada in 1902.
Canada had a population of 33,759,742 in 2009. That same year, Canada reported 178 Churches of the Nazarene, 159 of which had been officially organized. Canada has 13,667 total members.
Canada has one phase one district and four phase three districts. It is a part of the USA/Canada Region.
